Generally, a higher cholesterol level may not be dangerous as long as your LDL and HDL numbers are within the optimum range.

4. I have been told not to eat fruits because of my out-of-control candida. If I eat fruits, is it not going to make my candida worse?
Not really. Excess fats are the primary source of candida. In the presence of high fat in the blood, the blood sugar also increases. Now excess fat prohibits insulin from being escorted into the blood to metabolize the excess sugar.
Excess fat coats the blood vessels, the cells, insulin receptor's sites, the sugar molecules as well as insulin itself so that metabolic activity is hindered. Should the fat level stay high due to imbalanced nutrition, candida organism will feed on sugar in the blood. The cells are depleted of sugar, and thus there will be lack of cellular vitality, and one feels fatigued and low energy.
To reverse this process, you have to cut the fats to a minimum, then the insulin resistance will have a change to be reversed. So in dealing with candida, you must limit your intake of nuts, avocados, and seeds. Instead, incorporate more green leafy vegetables, celery, and other vegetables and fruits.
5. What is wrong with high-protein diets?
High-protein diets tax the liver and kidneys, and put heavy burden on the lymphatic system. It contributes to acidity in the tissue, which further imbalances the cellular PH.
When cellular PH is imbalanced, the cell membrane will become rigid versus a preamble state. Cellular membrane then looses voltage, which will disable the cellular vitality. Thus, nutrients, oxygen and water cannot enter the cells, and waste and carbon dioxide cannot leave the cells. What you get is cellular stagnation, which is the beginning of dis-ease.
